Gran Canaria - Dag 02

Because I was camping in the wild at Ayagaures, I started the day very early at 06.00 hr. I also didn't had any water anymore, because the local bar was closed the day before and it seemed that in Alto was no-one at home. At least, no-one was willing to open the door ...
So i climbed in darkness, with a bright starred sky and a full moon to the top. I even didn't needed a headlight to light the trail.
I managed to refill my canteens at the casa forestal, after about a 3-4 hour walk, and headed further on the trail to Degolado Del Dinero where I arrived arround midday and had lunch.
Then the trail went further to Morro de la Hierba Huerto where you descend for the first time to Presa de Chira. Next to lake you see the acampanade de Chira.
The trail goes further over the dam, climbs and descends to Presa de Soria where you can find a little bar and merkado at the other side of the dam.
Here you can choose. Or you make a steep, 3th climb and descend up to Cascade Bonita, or you go arround the mountain.
Autorentipp
- There's also an acampanada at Presa de Chira
- You can't find any Campinggazcilinders type "easy-click" in the proximity of Maspalomas. I bought a new set in a chinese store, 2 cilinders type "punch-thrue" for 20€ and left them in the hostel after the hike.
